Triceratops fossils are one of the most commonly discovered fossils in North America.
Triceratops had up to 800 teeth at any one time! Their teeth were arranged in columns called batteries. Each battery could hold as many as 40 teeth on each side of the jaw with each column having a stack of up to 5 teeth layered on top of each other.
Triceratops was huge! It measured up to 30 feet long and weighed between six and 12 tons. The head alone made up one-third of its body length.
